There is something for everyone. If you want to spend $15 on a 60 page book about troll hats, there is probably a Pathfinder book for you. Bestiary 3, released in 2012, includes a mixture of original monsters, monsters from Dungeons & Dragons (including the Flumph) and mythological creatures. Not surprisingly, some of them are pretty fucking goofy.
You also get the PDF of each as well as a discount on Paizo products when you are a subscriber. Bestiary 5 is a great addition to your Pathfinder game, or just as something to peruse for the great story ideas and inspiration the book is teaming with. Disclosure: Paizo provided a copy of Bestiary 5 for this review.
As we draw up to Halloween there are GMs around the world looking for some new horrors to scare their players with. Right on schedule the ever helpful Paizo have unleashed Bestiary 4 for Pathfinder. Now, it might be that the 320-paged hardback won’t make it to your local store in time but it will be available from Paizo.com, including a $9.99 PDF download that can be purchased from October 30th.
After enormous initial success with a Pathfinder First Edition version, IGS is exploring the production of the Bestiary for Pathfinder Second Edition. This free PDF is a sample of two monsters–Banshee, and Gelatinous Cube–converted into the ABRE format. This sample contains 8 complete statblocks, usable across a wide range of PC levels, and
Aquilae: Bestiary of the Realm is the largest, most comprehensive, most flexible, and most ambitious fantasy roleplaying bestiary ever conceived. 6,400 complete statblocks, comprising 1,600 monsters, each given the Quadded Statblock treatment, enabling them to be used in any campaign setting, with PCs of any level.
The product today is the new Pathfinder Bestiary 4 from Paizo. I don’t know how many of you are aware of this gaming system but this game is what Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 edition should have been and, considering the number of book supplements published over the last 4 years, many gamers agree. Anyways, ON TO THE REVIEW! Pathfinder Bestiary 4
