Well, I do not know anything about the new Tronix unit. the pickup fro the pickup from a xs400 will not work, TX the dimensions are too wide ass in where it bolts down on the side of the case it will have to have a spacer between a cover and the case in order to fit.
I’m still on my old points with my bikes, but I have installed an electronic ignition in my car. I don’t think you will notice an increase in performance or responsiveness. The point ignition was used in Honda’s GP bikes of the 60’s and the 250 6-cylinder rev’ed up to 12.000 and more!

If your coil and the CDI module are separate, check that the ignition coil can be fitted directly onto the chassis or the frame with a good earth connection (absolutely essential). If not, it may be necessary to produce a small tab which is welded directly to the earth (part of frame) of the vehicle. There are several electronic ignition options available for the GT750 and include the Boyer Bransden, Newtronic, and roll your own as described on the Pink Possum web site. The pic that I posted was from the bike bandit, if you go to bike bandit then go to Suzuki gt750 , then electrical, then electronic modules it has this dyna s system listed , and it’s listed for the gt750 , I was thinking the same thing about the pick ups, it looks like only two , but I did read an article about the dyna s system being used and it just replaces the points.
