Re: 2006 Evinrude e-tec 115 – need advice Forget the Ficht’s, the E-Tecs are completely different motors, and have generally been good. If you are buying from an authorized BRP dealer, the motor should have a three year warranty and is very easy to verify the motor is new by interrogating the EMM with Evinrude sw and a laptop (the dealer will need to install the motor and set up the proper oil).
