I had to keep my wallet in mind this time but I wanted a really good board, with lots of features and including support for Core i7 (LGA 1366 socket) so I went with the ASUS P6T. The ASUS P6T is a fast board supporting speeds up to 1333 MHz right out of the box and extending to an overclocked speed of 2000 MHz (that’s 2GHz)!

I think the P6T Deluxe has 16 phase power and the vanilla has 8 phase power. IIRC 16 phase allows for more stable overclocking which helped with quads but that was a question i asked regarding P45/X48 boards a long time ago so i could be corrected on this point re Core i7.
