I have just spent a few hours going round in circles trying to get a look at an exploded view /schematic /diagram /parts list for a Penn 525 supermag.

Yeah, the mag 3 525 is a reel I might be interested in getting. I noticed dude did get a major-league (big-league as the commander-in-chief likes to say) overrun (backlash). The two keeper sturgeon I zapped recently were both on my 525 GS (general series) that I have had over (10) years.

The fact is, only idiots would buy a red Mag 3 for ?150 when a Gold Mag 2 does the same job for ?90 so until the gold Mag 2’s run out the Mag 3’s will be a hard sell for the tackle trade. Maybe the new reel does have slightly better bearings but you cold replace the bearings in a Mag 2 for a lot less than ?60.
