I just received a copy of the American Cinematographer Video Manual, 3rd addition. What a major disappointment. Cheap binding. Poorly printed black and white photographs. Margins are too wide on each page. Why not print more words on each page resulting in narrower margins?
As Jean-Loui?s said earlier, its tricky work reassembling these parts in cameras to make them work correctly. That being said, if the price was low enough, you could try a couple things, such as without any power to the camera, use some fine electrical contact cleaner, GENTLY on the switch areas.
