I’m pretty sure when I bought my 4200’s it was a no warranty card needed. Same applied to the 3200’s. The other part I think you’re referring to was the 1st year date of purchase there was a ” no questions asked” satisfaction guarantee that if you were not 100% satisfied with any Elite you could return the scope for a full refund.
I’m looking at the Bushnell Elite in either the 3-9×40 or 3-10×40. I’m tossing around some reticle options and considering the improved eye relief of the 3-10×40 at 3.7″ compared to 3.3″ for the 3-9×40. Dave 44 you said that you had a 2.5-10×40 that the firefly reticle seemed to be thinner than the lower power firefly. Is this possible?

I recently purchased a new rifle and I have narrowed down my scope choices to either a elite 4200 2.5-10×40 or a conquest 3-9×40. I have looked through both and I am leaning toward the elite 4200. I really like the raingaurd and the firefly rectile and think it is just as bright as the conquest.

If you can spend more, certainly do as it is not a good idea to scrimp on optics. For $200 you can get a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40mm (forget the Firefly reticle) or even the heralded Sightron SII 3-9x42mm. If you buy the Bushnell Sportsman it is highly likely you will be disappointed, if you upgrade just a little you are likely to be satisfied.
Bushnell 3200 vs 4200 A Bushnell Rep told me that the difference is negligible and the 3200 is the Best Buy in scopes. If you can really tell the difference go for the 4200 Elite. If not use the $ difference for ammo or accessories I have the M4200 Elite in 2.5 x 10 on my AR and like it.

I am about to buy a used 3200 Elite. I always thought these were lifetime warranty scopes just like Leupold or Zeiss but the current wording on the Bushnell site leads me to think these are only warrantied to the original owner.
They both are made in Japan. I think we can all pretty much agree that the 4200 is a better scope glass wise, but adjustment wise the 3-9×40 Elite 4200 uses the same crappy adjustments the regular Elite 3200’s use, and for a rifle that would utilize the Tactical models, these adjustments that don’t track anywhere near close, nor are they repeatable are just not going to work.
