I assume it’s because my review of my Kodak Pony 135 (read it here) is, at this writing, the third most popular result for that search on Google that JoDawn found it. She left a comment offering me this Pony 135 Model C, which had been handed down to her. She packed it right up and sent it right out. As you can see, it’s pristine.
Kodak Pony 135 Model C ~1950. Kodak Anaston lens 44mm, 1:3,5. Kodak flash 300 shutter 1/25-300 and B. A very nice and full of quirks camera, you have to set everything, as expected in this type of camera, like scale focus, aperture and shutter speed. For the exposure there are some guidelines, for the films of the same vintage.
Earlier version called the ‘Pony 135 C’ had the same basic lens with a four speed shutter. Pony models 135 and 135 B used a tube mounted lens that slid inside the camera when not in use. Build material; black impact resistant phenolic resin, (also known as ‘Bakelite’) body with a thin bright aluminum fascia.
Only Kodachrome and Ektachrome, along with some B&W films, were availble when the Pony 135 was introduced and they are the only color films discussed in the manual or indicated on the film type reminder dial.
