Got a Sansamp bass driver DI for Christmas. Besides the owners manual settings, I haven’t had opportunity to experiment in a live band setting. The blend control on the Acoustic DI will introduce the tube emulation but no distortion. On the Para Driver DI the blend will introduce the SasnAmp circuit with tube amp and speaker emulation. On the Para Driver DI the midrange is before the SansAmp circuit which means that as you boost and cut midrange it will change your distortion sound. The Tech 21 Sansamp Acoustic DI is a direct input box that is designed specifically for use with acoustic instruments with piezo pick ups. I don’t know what the exact differences are between this DI and the others in this line of DI boxes beyond them just being designed for different types of uses.
