    (BTW. My usage of the UBCD’s instances of WDLG 5.0 and WDIDLE3. EXE is only that it’s not optimal for NAS systems (like by QNAP, Synlogic, etc.) follow the instructions posted there (for instance, for the WD5741 utility).
    15 Oct 2015 I went ahead and installed the drive in my ReadyNAS Ultra 4 NAS. I have seen that some Users have used the WDIDLE3 tool to change this .. running that, since the WD instructions clearly state it’s a firmware upgrade.

    These were supposed to be specifically designed for NAS .. to not use the tool, but then you’ll want to monitor the drives manually forever.
