I have a 1995 Ford Rangers with manual locking hubs. Today was the first snow day and I switched the hubs from free to lock but did not engage the 4wd. I drove the truck about 200′ but the front end was shaking so badly I thought I had a flat tire. When I switched back from lock to free the problem went away.

I have a 1995 For Ranger 4×4 with automatic locking hubs. When i engage the 4×4 the light comes on for 4 hi but not for 4 lo and i can hear a clicking in the transfer case but the hubs are not locking in.

1995 Ford Ranger front wheels will not engage in 4wd hi or low. Indication lights work ok. I can hear a relay click under the dash when switching. I cannot hear any engagement sound when switching to 4wd hi. Transmition shift noise and enagement of posi traction like low gears when switching to 4wd lo.
