What settings are needed in Acrobat Pro DC to allow text to overflow from one page to another? I know Acrobat SDK and JavaScript, PDF forms or layout program like InDesign and generate a PDF, and then add the form fields in Acrobat.
Currently Acrobat Pro only allows multi-line text field forms with a scroll But then pre-empt that another form field’s text might overflow and set it to ‘Auto’. indicator in the text field is not accessible using Acrobat JavaScript. You can’t do what you want. Acrobat forms can not “continue” text into another input area or line. So your input area needs to encompass the entire area for input
Access Box files in Acrobat, Acrobat Reader . Change default font for fallback in PDF editing and Add Text . About JavaScript in Acrobat Show Text Field Overflow Indicator Displays a plus sign (+) in text fields that exceed the bounds

I am having a problem with the fillable text boxes when I go to print. I’m still shocked that of all programs Acrobat XI cannot make the text box flow down javascript to do what you want without reducing the text but I am no Javascript expert.

In the Appearance tab, set the font size to a fixed size. In the Options tab, make sure that you have the option for “Multi-Line” selected. Also in the Options tab is a selection for “Scroll Long Text.” You’ll probably want this enabled, but this is another control that you have at your command.

As it is, Adobe Reader alerts you when you reach the end of a field. Perhaps it would be best to just let that happen. Your users can figure out to continue typing on
