Developing your rowing after ‘Learn To Row’ Once you’ve completed the Learn to Row course, and you decide to join the club, you’ll be welcomed into the Improver’s Group where you’ll receive further coaching and continue to develop your rowing skills until you are ready to join the one of the senior squads.

Welcome to Northampton Rowing Club. NRC is a small friendly club affiliated to British Rowing and are based on a 3km stretch of the River Nene. In 2009 we completed the first stage of replacing an ageing boatstore with a new facility.
Class Structure. LRC teaches sculling and sweep rowing technique. Sculling classes start first with learning the basics of the rowing motion on an indoor rowing machine ( “Erg”). After learning the basic motion students are typically placed in a boat ( “shell”) with an experienced rower. Students then advance to rowing in a tethered single shell.
Rowing operates within the School’s Sports Policy, including the requirements for participation in sport, commitment and attendance at training etc. All rowers and parents are asked to the sign the sport policy agreement (refer to Page 16 of the rowing handbook). For

Twice a year, the Los Angeles Rowing Club (LARC) conducts a Learn-to-Row (LTR) program to teach the sport of rowing to adults with no prior sweep rowing experience or to those who want a refresher course. The course is taught by experienced club volunteers. We teach sweep rowing (one oar per person), in crews of four and eight, in a calm and

Onslow College Rowing Club does not have a formal recruitment process for Learn To Row. While numbers allow, we take any student who wishes to participate. At the end of the programme, a short camp is usually held in Wanganui. Students who wish to continue rowing competitively are selected from Learn To Row candidates.
