Howz it all? One of the local pawns has a Fender Deluxe 112 Plus for $200. Looks like a 90’s solid state amp, decent shape, comes with the 2 button footswitch which appears to control channel selection and reverb.

Hey all Looking for a bit of advice Based on the research I have done and checking it over I think that the speaker in my 1996 deluxe 112 plus combo has diedbit of a strange scenario as there is no visible damage to the speaker but as soon as I turn it up past 2-3 on all the channels I get a horrible vibration on low frequencies.
The Deluxe 112 Plus puts out 94 watts into the nominal 4-ohm load of its internal speaker and no provision is made for an extension. I think the Stage 112 is rated at 100 watts into its internal 8-ohm speaker but can put out more than that when an 8-ohm extension speaker is connected, making a 4-ohm overall impedance.

I have quite a big hiss with my Deluxe 112 plus. So I decided to replace Darlington transistors TIP142 and TIP147 but there is a problem. Once both new TIP147 are soldered there is a huge buzz/noise in the speaker ! If I replace just one of the TIP147 by the original everything is OK. I don’t undertand what happens. To resume : 1.
